Event Information
The Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest offers great value for five hours of live music and entertainment. Here is all the information you need including date & time, entry, vendors, transport, site maps and more.
Date: Saturday 26 February 2011
Rain date: Saturday 5 March 2011
Time: 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm, gates open at 5.15 pm
Tamaki Drive is closed off to traffic during the festival, allowing the bands to create a genuine street party. The festival takes place on Tamaki Drive, Selwyn Reserve and Mission Bay Beach.
Food and Beverages will be available for purchase from Streetfest food stalls. There will be a great variety of food choices including wood fired pizza, Asian fare, paella and fruity deserts.
Two large bar areas will be selling cold beverages.
Cash-out facilities are also available inside the venue.

Entry fee $20 payable at gate (cash and eftpos only), Free entry for children
five years and under.

Event Food and Beverage
An extensive range of food is available inside the event venue including Indian, Asian, Jamaican, American, German and Kiwi food choices. There are two large public licensed areas that will serve beer, wine and RTD (premixed) beverages.

Transport and Parking
There will be general parking facilities
available at Takaparawhau Reserve (Bastion Point) with entry at Kupe Street -
(Orakei) and Hapimana Street (off Tamaki Drive) (no parking on Hapimana Street)
for a small fee. Security will be on site.
Taxis

Coop Taxis is the official taxi service for the Mission Bay Jazz and
Blues Streetfest.

The Auckland Blues Club
The Auckland Blues Club is proud to be a supporter of the
Mission Bay Jazz and Blues StreetFest.
The club recognises the importance of supporting blues musicians, blues fans
and events such as the Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest, and recognises
its role in the local music scene.
The Auckland Blues Club's mission is to bring together blues enthusiasts
and blues artists to enjoy blues music through regular organised gigs, jam
nights, workshops and events.
The club also aims to provide lots of blues-related information on blues gigs
& events around Auckland, blues artists, music venues around New Zealand
and blues CD reviews, thereby building a blues community to network blues
enthusiasts and musicians together from across the country and also
internationally.
