  • How much does it cost?

      Entry cost is $20.00 per person. This can be paid at each entry gate by cash or Eftpos upon entry. Free entry for children five years and under.

  • When does the Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest start?
      • Gates Open from 5:15pm - No Pass Outs
      • Bands start performing at 6:00pm and finish at 11:00pm
  • Is there a cash-out facility in the event venue?

      Yes a cash-out facility is available inside the event venue. It is located adjacent to the ASB Bank ATM on Tamaki Drive but positioned inside the event venue and is signposted.

  • What is the event venue?

      The event venue is the area inside the fenced venue perimeter, where the event takes place (please see Streetfest Map for details of the fenced perimeter). This is the area you are paying to enter to be entertained in a secure area. Tamaki Drive is closed off to traffic during the festival, allowing the bands to create a genuine street party atmosphere.

  • Can I bring alcohol into the event?
    • No alcohol is allowed to be brought onto the site. Alcohol can be purchased from the licensed areas on site.
  • The Mission Bay Jazz & Blues Streetfest has a no pass out policy. What does this mean?
    • If you exit the event venue during the event you will be required to pay the entry fee in full again to return into the venue.
  • Where can we park?
    • Paid car parking is available at Bastion Point, entrance on Tamaki Drive.
    • The organisers recommend utilizing either the public transport bus option from Britomart. 
  • Is disabled parking available?
    • Limited disabled car parking is available at the Western Car Park of Selwyn Reserve, entry is from Tamaki Drive. There are 12 disabled car parks.
  • What Public Transport is available?
    • Extra bus services will be provided from Britomart, Tyler St, which complement existing services. 
    • NZ Bus will run extra buses based on demand from Tyler Street (D13) in the CBD to a Special Bus Stop at Mission Bay. Outward trips start 6:00pm and will run every 15 minutes approx. Return Trips commence 9:00pm and continue until clear. Standard fare stages will be charged.

  • How do we find out about the bands that are playing?
    • Check out the bands that will be playing at the 2011 Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest by referring to Artists section of this website.
  • Are there any age restrictions for entry to the Mission Bay Jazz & Blues Streetfest?
    • No age restrictions, however the event oganisers advise that the event specifically caters to an adult audience.
  • Can I bring my children to the event?
    • Yes, however the event oganisers advise that the event specifically caters to an adult audience. Free entry for children five years and under.
  • Is there a lost and found area for children?
    • Yes, there is a lost children control area. This is located at the City end of Selwyn Reserve, close to the Children′s playground.
  • What sponsorship opportunities are there for the Mission Bay Jazz & Blues Streetfest?

  • Are there additional toilets on site?
    • The existing toilet blocks will be closed during the event. However, there will be a large number of portaloos available on Selwyn Reserve for use. They are clearly marked on event maps and sign posted.
  • Can I pre-purchase tickets?
    • Pre-purchase of event tickets is available in 2011. Tickets can be purchased for $20.00 on the Event Finder website.

  • Are there medical services at the event?
    • St John Ambulance provide medical services at the event and are based at the Patteson Ave and Tamaki Drive intersection.
  • What happens if the event postponed?
    • There is a rain date for the event of Saturday 5 March. This will be announced at 3:00pm on the day of the event and broadcast via the following radio stations.

  • What time do the gates open?
    • Gates open from approximately 5.15pm. Bands start performing at 6:00pm and finish at 11:00pm. No pass outs. 
  • Is there any event merchandise available to purchase?
    • Event merchandise is not available in 2011, but will be available in future years.
  • I am interested in volunteering at the event, what do I do next?
    • Please email the Mission Bay Jazz and Blues Streetfest, Event Director at richard@jazzandbluesstreetfest.com
  • What roads will be closed for the event?
      • Tamaki Drive (between Aitken Avenue and Marau Crescent/Selwyn Avenue). Closed from approximately 3.30pm - 12.00am
      • Patteson Avenue (between Marau Crescent and Tamaki Drive). Closed 3.00pm - 12.00am
      • All closed roads will reopen to traffic at 12.00am, Sunday 27 February.
  • Can I take my own food and drink into the event venue?
      • Food may be brought into the venue. Note that there will be a wide range of food concessions available to purchase food from within the event.
  • Are there any parking restrictions?
      • The following parking restrictions will be in place on Saturday 26 February from 2.00pm to 12.30am, except for bus and emergency services:
        • - Tamaki Drive, seaside (from the Millennium Bridge to Marau Crescent), land side (from Atkin Avenue to Marau Crescent)
        • - Marau Crescent, both sides from Patteson Avenue/Marau Crescent intersection eastwards to Tamaki Drive.
        • - Marau Crescent north side (from Patteson Avenue extending west for approx 50m)
        • - Marau Crescent south side (from Patteson Avenue extending west to Atkin Avenue)
        • - Te Arawa St, west side (from Kupe Street extending north to Matatua Street)
        • - Matatua St, both sides (from Te Arawa Street to Rukutai Street)
        • - Rukutai St, east side (from Matatua Street extending south to Aotea Street)
